What the board does

The Local Pension Board is not a decision-making body. Its key roles are to support and challenge the Pension Fund Committee in carrying out its statutory responsibilities. View the board's constitution and annual report.

The time commitment

Meetings take place online, quarterly, and last approximately 2 hours.

There is also an expectation that you will undertake some training.

Time spent on Local Pension Board matters may qualify as continuing professional development (CPD). Check with your professional body.
